Berhampur Campus Of Sum Hospital Set To Open On Feb 14

Bhubaneswar : Bhubaneswar: Renowned for its contributions to Odisha’s healthcare landscape, the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital, a part of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) located in Bhubaneswar, is set to dedicate its latest campus in Sitalapalli, Ganjam district, on February 14, 2024.

This significant expansion by SOA addresses the increasing need for top-notch healthcare facilities in southern Odisha.

The esteemed Chief Minister of Odisha, Sri Naveen Patnaik, has graciously agreed to inaugurate the new facility.

Earlier, on January 21, 2024, SOA launched the second campus of IMS and SUM Hospital at Phulnakhara, situated on NH-16 between Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, which was also inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister.

Initially equipped with 200 beds, the Sitalapalli campus of SUM Hospital will gradually expand to accommodate 500 beds, offering advanced healthcare services and state-of-the-art technology at affordable rates. Additionally, it will provide round-the-clock emergency care.

IMS and SUM Hospital in Bhubaneswar, ranked 16th among medical colleges in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2023, has been serving the people of Odisha and neighboring states for the past 19 years, emerging as a preferred healthcare destination in the region.

SOA has also established the advanced quaternary care facility, SUM Ultimate Medicare, in Bhubaneswar. All four hospitals under SOA’s management will complement each other, striving to deliver high-quality healthcare services to the community.

SOA, a deemed university, holds the 15th position in the country according to the NIRF rankings of 2023.
