Tata Steel Kalinganagar Observes International Women’s Day
Kalinganagar: In commemoration of International Women’s Day, Tata Steel Kalinganagar (TSK) paid tribute to the resilience and dedication of its female workforce through a meticulously organized event orchestrated by the Engineering & Project Team at TSK. The event unfolded within the confines of the Sampoorna Kitchen compound nestled within the plant premises in Kalinganagar, marking a significant moment on Friday.
Over 200 women, comprising both employees and contract workers, actively engaged in the festivities, which encompassed enlightening experience-sharing sessions and captivating cultural performances. These activities served not only to celebrate the invaluable contributions of women but also to foster a sense of camaraderie and empowerment among the participants.
In a gesture of holistic well-being, a Health Camp was meticulously arranged on Thursday by JDC Iron Making, TSK, in collaboration with the Occupational Health Centre (OHS), TSK. This initiative brought vital healthcare services directly to the doorstep of 195 women, spanning both employees and contract workers, enhancing their access to essential medical care and information.
The inauguration of the health camp was graced by the esteemed presence of YGS Prasad, Chairman of JDC Iron Making, alongside dignitaries such as Rabindra Jamuda, President of Tata Steel Kalinganagar Workers’ Union (TSKWU), and Damodar Soy, Secretary of TSKWU. This collaborative effort underscored the collective commitment towards the well-being and empowerment of the women workforce, reflecting the ethos of inclusivity and support within the TSK community.
