SLSWCA clears 22 projects worth Rs 4,066.71 in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha is experiencing a profound economic transformation with the recent approval of 22 projects valued at INR 4,066.71 Crore during the 129th State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting, chaired by Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena. These diverse investments are set to reshape Odisha’s economic landscape, reaffirming its status as a premier investment destination.

Covering various sectors such as Green Energy Equipment, Chemical, Textiles and Apparel, Steel, Iron & Ferro Alloys, Aluminium Downstream, Food Processing, Power & Renewable Energy, IT Infrastructure, and Infrastructure & Logistics, these projects hold immense potential. With a collective employment generation capacity of 25,525 and a total investment of INR 4,066.71 crores spread across twelve districts, they are expected to significantly contribute to the state’s economic progress.

In the Green Energy sector, Waaree Clean Energy Solutions Pvt Limited is set to establish its Electrolyser Manufacturing Plant in Khordha, creating 300 job opportunities with an investment of Rs. 435 crore. Shalimar Paints Limited, in Balasore, aims to generate 200 jobs with its Paints Varnish and Applied Products project, while Reliance Bio Energy Limited introduces two projects on Compressed Biogas and Fermented Organic Manure in Dhenkanal and Cuttack, offering employment to 138 individuals.

The Textile and Apparel sector sees OFB Tech Private Limited investing Rs. 857 crore in Khurdha, potentially creating 15,000 jobs, while M/s. Enrich Clothing Inc. unveils its Readymade Garments manufacturing unit in Cuttack, offering employment to 1020 individuals. In the Technical Textile sector, Shalimar Wires Industries Limited in Khordha is set to employ 100 individuals with its Synthetic Fabric for Industrial Filtration project.

Metal downstream projects include BMW Industries Limited in Jajpur and Segma Profiles Pvt Ltd. in Sambalpur, with respective investments of Rs. 713 crore and Rs. 54.26 crore, providing employment to 276 and 250 individuals. Shyam Steel Fabrications Pvt Ltd will create job opportunities for 1,100 people in Khurdha with its Steel Downstream sector project.

In the Food Processing sector, Bajrangbali Minmet Pvt Ltd. in Sundergarh and OFB Tech Private Limited in Nabarangapur aim to employ 50 and 400 individuals respectively. Hindalco Industries Limited invests Rs. 200 crores in Solar Pv Power in Koratpur, Tata Steel Limited invests Rs. 125.69 crores in a 22 MW Solar PV power Plant in Sundergarh, and Adani Total Energies Biomass Limited plans to create 180 jobs in Sambalpur with their respective projects.

IT Infrastructure projects by Pine Square LLP and A K Das Associates Ltd. in Khordha, Infrastructure projects by Geo Impex and Logistics Pvt. Ltd. in Ganjam and Koli Commercial LLP in Angul, and Aluminium Downstream project by Cabcon India Limited in Jharsuguda, all contribute to job creation and economic growth.

These transformative projects collectively represent a significant step forward, poised to create employment opportunities and foster industrial growth, thereby contributing to the economic prosperity of Odisha.
