Senior officials of Odisha Govt. Visit Tata Steel Special Economic Zone Limited(TSSEZL)
Gopalpur: Senior government officials from the state visited the Gopalpur Industrial Park (GIP) operated by Tata Steel Special Economic Zone Limited (TSSEZL) on Friday to gain insights into the status of various units, identify growth opportunities, and promote development initiatives within the park.
Anu Garg, IAS, Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Water Resources, Hemant Sharma, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of Industries, and Bhupendra Singh Poonia, IAS, Managing Director of Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) and Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Odisha (IPICOL), assessed the progress of projects within the park. They engaged in fruitful discussions and idea exchanges with TSSEZL representatives and other stakeholders.
Saurabh Sugandh, Chief (Projects), and Rakesh Patro, Head (Corporate Services), along with other senior officials of TSSEZL, participated in the discussions regarding the utility corridor linking TSSEZ to Gopalpur port and infrastructure development.
The dignitaries also interacted with key representatives of units established in GIP, including Mahadhan Agritech Limited (MAL), Tata Consumer Products Limited (TCPL), and the Ferro Chrome Plant (Tata Steel).
TSSEZL, a subsidiary of Tata Steel Limited, is shaping Gopalpur Industrial Park (GIP) into a burgeoning manufacturing hub for domestic and export-oriented industries. Several industrial units, such as Tata Steel’s Ferro Chrome Plant and Tata Consumer Products Limited, are already operational in GIP. Additionally, projects by Mahadhan Agritech Limited and GAIL Gas Limited are underway.
These developments in Gopalpur Industrial Park align with the state’s vision for sustainable industrial growth and job creation. Recently, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Naveen Patnaik, laid the foundation stone for two green fuel projects by Acme Cleantech Solutions Private Limited and Avaada Green H2 Private Limited, marking a significant milestone in Odisha’s sustainable industrial development.
