ILS Bhubaneswar Celebrates 35th Foundation Day
Bhubaneswar: The Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, joyously celebrated its Foundation Day on Tuesday, marking 35 years of dedication to research, education, and innovation in the realm of life sciences.
In his welcoming address, Dr. Debashis Dash, Director of ILS Bhubaneswar, extended gratitude to all stakeholders who have contributed to the institute’s success. He highlighted ILS’s significant advancements in scientific knowledge, innovation, and societal impact through interdisciplinary research initiatives.
The festivities commenced with a ceremonial event attended by esteemed dignitaries, faculty, researchers, and students of ILS Bhubaneswar. The program featured keynote speeches, panel discussions, scientific presentations, and cultural performances, showcasing the diverse talents and accomplishments within the institute.
Dr. Aditya P. Das, former Vice Chancellor of AIPH University Bhubaneswar, graced the occasion as the guest of honor, reflecting on ILS’s journey under his leadership and extending well wishes for its future success.
Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Chairperson of the Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers Rights Authority, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, and former DG ICAR, also lauded Dr. Dash’s efforts in organizing the event and commended the institute’s alumni for their achievements.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Anand Deshpandey, Founder, Chairman, and Managing Director of Persistent Systems, emphasized the importance of collaborative research in his address, expressing appreciation for the progress of the Institute and extending best wishes to its members.
