Giving Wings To 5,000 More Dreams: Reliance Foundation UG Scholarships 2023–24 Results Announced

Mumbai/Bhubaneswar: Five thousand students have been chosen from a nationwide pool of applicants for the Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships 2023–24, with results announced today. This scholarship, one of India’s largest and most inclusive initiatives for higher education, grants undergraduate students up to Rs. 2 lakh and connects them to a dynamic alumni network.

In Odisha, 121 students from various educational institutions across the state have been selected for the Reliance Foundation UG Scholarships 2023–24.

In total, 58,000 students from over 5,500 educational institutions across 35 states and UTs in India applied for these scholarships. The final 5000 were chosen through a rigorous merit-cum-means process, where 75% of selected students have an annual household income of less than 2.5 lakh rupees, alongside their performance in the aptitude test and Grade 12 marks.

Applicants can check the outcome of their application at www.reliancefoundation.org.

The Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships aim to assist students in any field of study to advance themselves and their communities and contribute to India’s future socio-economic development. These scholarships, awarded on a merit-cum-means basis, enable students to pursue their undergraduate studies without financial constraints.

As part of its broader vision for education, excellence, and innovation, the Reliance Foundation is dedicated to selecting a diverse cohort of undergraduate students based on merit and means, empowering youth, and propelling the nation forward. To date, 23,136 student scholarships have been awarded, with 48% going to girls and 3,001 to students with disabilities.

This year’s cohort includes students from various fields such as commerce, arts, business/management, computer applications, science, medicine, law, education, hospitality, architecture, engineering/technology, and other undergraduate degrees.

Reliance has been granting scholarships since 1996. Building on this commitment, in December 2022, on the 90th birth anniversary of Reliance’s founder-chairman, Shri. Dhirubhai Ambani, Mrs. Nita Ambani, Reliance Foundation founder and chairperson, announced the awarding of 50,000 scholarships over the next decade. This announcement regarding the 5000 selected scholars for 2023–24 underscores Reliance’s steadfast dedication to education and nurturing students for India’s future.
