Bhubaneswar: Indian Railways has so far taken the precautionary measure of canceling 54 express trains that originate, terminate, or pass through the East Coast Railway’s (ECoR) jurisdiction to safeguard the well-being of passengers. This decision has been made in anticipation of the potential development of Cyclone Michaung. A depression is forming over the Bay of Bengal and is likely to escalate into a cyclonic storm by Sunday.

In light of this impending weather event, significant rainfall is predicted in the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Odisha over the next 48 hours.
