Ashwini Vaishnaw Lays Foundation Stone of 4G Saturation Site In Mamtapal Village of Odisha

Mayurbhanj Union Minister Mr. Ashwini Vaishnaw and Member of Parliament Balasore Mr. Pratap Sarangi recently visited the Mamtapal Village in Mayurbhanja District, Odisha, to lay the foundation stone for the 4G Saturation project site. In a noteworthy update, Skipper Limited (BSE: 538562, NSE Symbol: SKIPPER), a global leader in Power Transmission & Distribution structures and a significant manufacturer of Telecom and Railway structures, shared the news. The visit included senior government officials and representatives from BSNL and Skipper Limited.

In December 2022, BSNL awarded a contract to Skipper Limited for the Supply and Erection of Ground Based Telecom Towers, serving as the Infrastructure as a Service Provider (IaaSP). The contract encompasses the supply and installation of Infrastructure Items, along with subsequent Operation and Maintenance (O&M) for a period of 5 years, extendable to an additional 5 years. This initiative aims to provide 4G saturation in uncovered villages across India. The total contract value for Skipper under these projects amounts to approximately Rs. 2,570 crores, to be executed under a combination of capital expenditure (capex) and operating expenditure (opex) models over 5 years. The project spans the states of Rajasthan (Rs. 1,350 Crores) and Odisha (Rs. 1,220 Crores) and involves the development of around 3,350 tower location sites.
