Bhubaneswar:  Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated Accenture’s Advanced Technology Center in Bhubaneswar. Accenture, a prominent global professional services company with a workforce exceeding 743,000 worldwide, including over 300,000 in India, is renowned for its progressive human resource policies, substantial investments in learning and career development across various technology domains and industries, and a steadfast commitment to fostering an inclusive culture.

During the inauguration, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Naveen Patnaik, emphasized the state’s remarkable progress across various sectors, propelled by innovation, fresh perspectives, and a robust entrepreneurial spirit. He highlighted Odisha’s growth trajectory, driven by a conducive ecosystem poised to enhance entrepreneurship, technological innovation, and emerging businesses. The Chief Minister lauded Accenture’s expertise, foreseeing its significant contribution to the state’s endeavors, marking a significant milestone in the rapidly evolving IT, strategy, and consulting landscape within Odisha.

Echoing similar sentiments, Shri Tusharkanti Behera, Hon’ble Minister of State for Electronics & IT, Sports & Youth Services, and Home, praised Bhubaneswar’s transformation into a global IT, ESDM, and consulting hub under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik.

He highlighted Odisha’s leadership in the IT domain, shaped by visionary policies and a dynamic ecosystem, and expressed confidence that Accenture’s new Technology Center would create abundant opportunities for the state’s youth.

Dr. Bhaskar Ghosh, Chief Strategy Officer at Accenture, expressed excitement about commencing operations in Odisha, acknowledging the state’s reputable academic institutions and skilled workforce. He emphasized Accenture’s commitment to leveraging Odisha’s enabling policies and rich talent pool to develop transformative solutions for clients, particularly focusing on cloud, data, and AI technologies.

Situated at the Odisha Technology Centre, Accenture’s new facility spans 70,000 sq. ft. and is designed to accommodate 2000 professionals in a hybrid work environment, with provisions for future expansion. Shri Manoj Kumar Mishra, Principal Secretary of the Electronics & IT Department, Government of Odisha, lauded the establishment of Accenture’s Advanced Technology Center as a testament to the company’s confidence in the state’s potential, further solidifying Odisha’s position as a prime investment destination.

Furthermore, the Electronics and IT Department of the Odisha government continues to attract significant investments in the IT/ITES & ESDM sector. Recent endeavors have led to the establishment of Global Development & Outsourcing Centers by major IT/ITES/ESDM companies and global MNCs such as IBM, PWC, Deloitte, Concentrix, Happiest Minds, Infosys BPM, Synopsys, E&Y, Chubb, and Cognizant in the state.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by key dignitaries including Mr. V.K. Pandian, Chairman of 5T Initiatives & Nabin Odisha, Shri Tusharkanti Behera, Hon’ble Minister of State for Electronics & IT, Sports & Youth Services, and Home, Shri Manoj Mishra, Principal Secretary of the Electronics & IT Department, Shri Manas Panda, Special Secretary of Electronics & IT, along with representatives from Accenture.
