Yuvraj Mehta elected president of KIIT Alumni Association
Bhubaneswar: Yuvraj Mehta, a member of the 1995 MBA Batch of KIIT, has been elected as the president of the KIIT Alumni Association (KIITAA) for a two-year term spanning from 2024 to 2026. The Association serves as the voice for KIIT University graduates worldwide.
Yuvraj, who is the Founder and CEO of StrateRise Consulting, specializes in Strategic Communication, particularly in areas such as Reputation Management, Crisis Communication, Brand management, and ESG. Additionally, he contributes as a member of the Board of Studies at KIIT School of Management.
Prior to embarking on his entrepreneurial journey, Yuvraj held pivotal roles in communication and brand management departments of esteemed multinational corporations including L&T, Samsung, Reliance Infra, and GMR. Some of his notable communication projects are now featured in case studies at prestigious institutions like IIM Ahmedabad and Harvard Business School.
Expressing his gratitude, Yuvraj Mehta remarked, “I am deeply honored to assume the role of president at KIITAA. We have a strong foundation, and I aim to further strengthen our alumni’s connection with the university. Through the association, we will not only support alumni in their professional and societal endeavors but also contribute to KIIT University’s vision of global academic excellence, research advancement, outreach, and innovation.”
Joining Yuvraj on the newly elected executive committee are individuals such as Akash Jaiswal (MBA 2022), Founder & CEO of Wooble; Gaurav Udgata (M.Tech 2016), Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at KIIT; Sangeeta Sahu (Ph.D. 2021), Senior Project Manager at Instasafe; Devi Prasad Dash (B.Tech 2005), CHRO at Apollo Health and Lifestyle; Shakti Prasad Tripathy (B.Tech 2006), Associate Consultant at TCS; Bandita Sahoo (B.Tech 2012), Advisory Manager at PwC; and Sikandar Alam (B.Tech 2001), Senior Manager at Capgemini.
Dr. Achyuta Samanta, the Hon’ble Founder of KIIT & KISS, praised the remarkable growth and global recognition achieved by KIIT University. He serves as the ex-officio Patron of the association, which operates under the slogan “Strengthen Alumni and Strengthen KIIT.”
Dr. Samanta emphasized the importance of KIITAA in fostering engagement between the university and its alumni across the globe. He encouraged all alumni to participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing the university’s reputation and perception. Dr. Samanta expressed his confidence in Yuvraj’s leadership, along with the newly elected executive committee members, in driving these efforts over the next two years.
KIITAA operates as an independent entity representing the alumni of KIIT University. To oversee alumni affairs, an Alumni Relations Cell has been established under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Shyam Sundar Behura, Additional Registrar at KIIT, with support from the Alumni Relations and Faculty – Alumni Relations departments of respective schools.
