Bhubaneswar: Marking World Liver Day, the Gastroenterology Department at AIIMS Bhubaneswar today organized an informative session to educate patients about liver diseases and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He stressed the preventability of liver diseases, with more than 90% being avoidable, and highlighted the significance of abstaining from alcohol, processed foods, and junk foods, as well as the importance of screening, hepatitis B vaccination, and regular exercise.

During the event, Dr. Ashutosh Biswas, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhubaneswar, emphasized the pivotal role of lifestyle choices in preventing liver diseases.
