Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) regional center predicts that over the next 24 hours, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, hail, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 40-50 KMPH are likely to occur in one or two places across certain districts of Odisha, as the cyclonic circulation over Odisha and its vicinity at 0.9 km above mean sea level weakens.

In its mid-day bulletin, the IMD noted that maximum temperatures in Odisha have remained relatively stable, with some areas experiencing appreciably above-normal temperatures in the interior districts, above-normal temperatures in a few places across Odisha, and normal temperatures elsewhere in the region.

For Saturday (Valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 31.03.2024)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sundargarh and at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Bolangir, Subarnapur, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Mayurbhanj, Balasore and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Orange Warning: (Be Prepared)-

Thunderstorm with lightning and hail accompanied with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 KMPH is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Bargarh and Sundargarh.

Yellow Warning: (Be Updated)-

Thunderstorm with lightning accompanied with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 KMPH is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nuapada, Bolangir, Subarnapur, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

For Sunday (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 31.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 01.04.2024)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Jajpur, Bhadrak and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
