VK Pandian Took Stock of Puri Projects

Puri: Odisha’s 5T initiative and Nabin Odisha Chairman undertook a comprehensive review of ongoing development projects in Puri today, with a particular focus on the Shree Mandira Parikrama Project. Pandian meticulously examined the queue management and traffic control systems surrounding the temple, emphasizing a seamless entry experience for devotees.

Venturing to the Shree Setu project site, Pandian assessed the ongoing work of the project, which is slated to cost around Rs 161 crore. Stressing the importance of timely completion, the 5T Secretary urged project officials to expedite their efforts.

A visit to the modern parking project in Samanga Mouza followed, where Pandian observed the development of a state-of-the-art facility spread across 43 acres. With a capacity to accommodate 420 buses, 549 four-wheelers, 258 autos, and 1054 two-wheelers, the parking project is underway with a budget of Rs 67 crore.

Subsequently, Pandian turned his attention to the Yatri Niwas in the Baselisahi Police Station area, which covered 10 acres of land. The affordable Dharmasala, featuring five blocks with a total capacity of 3700 people, aims to provide tourists with comprehensive amenities at an economical price.

Continuing the review, the 5T Secretary visited the Heritage Corridor project site, engaging in detailed discussions on the project’s progress. Pandian issued instructions to officials for the timely completion of various components within the Parikrama Project.

Puri Collector Samarth Verma, Sub-Collector Babataran Sahu, along with other district officials and executives from the construction agency, were present. The collective efforts underscored the commitment to advancing these developmental initiatives for the benefit of both residents and visitors to Puri.
