Vedanta Aluminium Organizes Industrial Safety Training Program Partnering with Odisha Govt
Jharsuguda: Vedanta Aluminium, the foremost aluminium producer in India, partnering with the Directorate of Factories and Boilers, Government of Odisha, organized an extensive one-day industrial safety training program at its Jharsuguda operations. This collaborative effort, supported by the Department of Labour and ESI (Employees’ State Insurance), Government of Odisha, aims to instill a robust safety culture and enhance awareness among industry professionals across various industrial zones within the state.
The training session was attended virtually by dignitaries such as Shri R. S. Gopalan, IAS Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Labour & ESI Dept., Govt. of Odisha, and Dr. Malay Kumar Pradhan, Deputy Director of Factories & Boilers (Safety), Govt. of Odisha. Additionally, Shri Swaroop Jena, Deputy Director of Factories & Boilers, Sambalpur Division, Govt. of Odisha, Smt. Archana Das, Asst. Director of Factories & Boilers, Jharsuguda, Govt. of Odisha, and Shri Umakanta Samantary, Asst. Director of Factories & Boilers, Sambalpur, Govt. of Odisha, were present.
Delivered by expert trainers from the Institute of Quality and Environment Management Services (IQEMS) Pvt. Ltd., the program covered crucial topics including process safety, behavior-based safety, leadership, fire and explosion safety, and risk-based thinking. Attendees gained valuable insights and practical knowledge to enhance safety practices in their respective industries. With over 400 participants from various industries in Western Odisha, the event garnered significant interest.
