Addressing the gathering, Minister Pradhan underscored Angul’s robust industrial landscape and its renown for coal production. He highlighted ongoing infrastructural enhancements in rail and road networks, emphasizing the alignment of the newly launched PM Gati Shakti program with the Center of Management Education. The overarching goal is to bolster logistics and supply chain operations through digital transformation, thereby augmenting the specialized skill set of the workforce across various industries in the region, catalyzing the logistical sector’s growth.
Strategically situated within the NALCO Campus at Angul, this Center of Management Education assumes a pivotal role in addressing the burgeoning skill requirements of Odisha’s logistical sector. Its influence transcends Angul and Dhenkanal districts, extending its benefits to industries statewide.
Noteworthy is the curriculum designed in consultation with industry stakeholders by the IIMs, offering courses ranging from three to six months on Logistics and Operations, alongside a one-year Executive Post Graduate Course. The Center remains adaptive, poised to introduce new courses aligned with evolving industry demands.
NALCO and MCL, as leading Public Sector Enterprises in the region, have pledged support for this initiative.
