Bhubaneswar: On World Health Day, TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a collaborative effort between Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, underscores the paramount importance of prioritizing health and well-being across all aspects of life. This year, 2024, commemorates the 76th anniversary of the World Health Organization (WHO), which has designated ‘My Health, My Right’ as the theme for World Health Day, emphasizing the core human entitlement: access to top-tier healthcare, education, and information.
Aligned with this steadfast commitment to health and wellness, TPCODL has initiated numerous endeavors to promote health and well-being within its operational domain. In the fiscal year 2023-24, TPCODL conducted 17 sessions of First Aid training, reaching areas such as BBSR1, BBSR2, Cuttack, and Dhenkanal, resulting in the empowerment of 379 employees with vital life-saving skills. Additionally, TPCODL orchestrated Health awareness camps using Mobile Health Dispensaries (MHD) throughout the year, spanning four circles: Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Paradeep, and BBSR-2. These camps played a pivotal role in delivering free health screenings and services to a substantial number of beneficiaries, encompassing 1774 Gram Panchayats, 2627 villages, and a grand total of 112,302 individuals.
Furthermore, TPCODL facilitated Executive Health Check-ups at 86 locations, benefiting 3804 employees, while approximately 3000 Business Associates (BA) underwent thorough medical assessments, safeguarding their overall well-being. Moreover, the company organized various health awareness events, including internal sessions on World Heart Day, featuring expert insights on cardiac health, and external seminars on heart attack prevention led by esteemed cardiologists. These initiatives underscore TPCODL’s unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of health and well-being among its workforce and the communities it serves.
