Tata Steel Kalinganagar Celebrates 185th Birth Anniversary Of J N Tata
Kalinganagar: Tata Steel Kalinganagar (TSK) celebrated the 185th birth anniversary of Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata, the company’s founder, with fervor and enthusiasm at its plant in Jajpur district, Odisha. The day commenced with a spirited 5-kilometer run organized by the Engineering & Projects team, drawing over 300 employees from various vendor partners. The run kicked off from the Green Transport Logistic Park, setting the tone for the day’s events.
Following the run, Tata Steel employees paraded from the project office to the TSK Center, where senior leadership, union officials, and other employees paid homage to J N Tata. The celebrations also included a friendly football match and numerous sporting activities for Tata Parivar members, employees, and their families at the rehabilitation colonies and the company’s housing colonies throughout the week.
Additionally, an eye check-up camp, conducted earlier in the week by the Tata Steel Foundation at Green Transport Park, benefited 283 drivers from various vendor partners associated with the plant. Meanwhile, at NINL, the day was commemorated with a tribute to JN Tata by the company’s senior leadership, alongside a quiz competition for employee children, shedding light on the life and legacy of the esteemed founder.
Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata, revered as the ‘Father of Indian Industry’, laid the groundwork for India’s steel and power sector, pioneered technical education, and propelled the nation into the realm of industrialized nations with his visionary leadership.
