PNB handed over Medical Equipments to Sum Hospital as gift under CSR Initiative

Bhubaneswar: As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, Punjab National Bank (PNB) has contributed to the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital by presenting a versatile ventilator and six motorized ICU beds. The handover ceremony took place at the hospital, where Mr. Atul Kumar Goel, PNB’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, officially gifted these medical equipments to Prof. (Dr.) Manojranjan Nayak, Founder President of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA). The event witnessed the presence of the bank’s Zonal Manager, Mr. A. Uday Bhaskar Reddy, and Circle Head, Mr. Laxmikanta Mishra.

In addition to the ventilator and ICU beds, PNB extended its support further by presenting six overbed tables and an equal number of bedside lockers to the hospital. These equipments are to be used in the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS) department of the hospital, enhancing its capabilities.

The ceremony saw the participation of key individuals, including Prof. (Dr.) Pusparaj Samantasinhar, Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Prof. Jyoti Ranjan Das, SOA’s Dean (Students’ Welfare), Dr. Debasish Sahu, Head of the Department of CTVS, Dr. Sushanta Bhoi, Anesthesiologist, and Mr. Saroj Kumar Samal, Chartered Accountant, who were also present to witness and acknowledge PNB’s valuable contribution to healthcare.
