Pandian Visits Kalamandal Construction Site
BHUBANESWAR: Mr. VK Pandian,Chairman 5T and Nabin Odisha recently visited the KALAMANDAL, an under construction convention centre near Sainik School, Bhubaneswar on Sunday. This 2000-seating capacity convention center is being built by IDCO for the Odia Language Literature & Culture Department and is set to become the largest of its kind in the Government of Odisha. During the inspection, the MD of IDCO received instructions to expedite the project and complete it within four months. Chairman 5T also recommended incorporating Odisha’s cultural and heritage aesthetics in the interior design, proposing collaboration with the Culture Department.
Further, the Chairman visited the site where the Works Department is undertaking the AKHYARA BHOOMI project. This initiative is dedicated to commemorating the 1st World Odia Language Conference scheduled in Bhubaneswar from 3rd to 5th February. An iconic commemorative arch, reflecting the Kalingan style of architecture in condalite stone, will embellish the AKHYARA BHOOMI, serving as a captivating reminder of the rich heritage of the classical Odia language for the youth.
To facilitate future expansion, it was decided to allocate space within the building and reserve the basement for visitor parking at the cultural convention center. Chairman 5T also proposed the inclusion of greenery on the campus by planting trees and incorporating eco-friendly elements, enhancing the overall environmental appeal of the space.
