Mission Shakti Community Support Staff To Get Enhanced Incentive
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik on Saturday announced a significant enhancement in the incentive allocation for the Mission Shakti Community Support Staff. This hike is aimed at bolstering the invaluable efforts of these individuals in championing women’s empowerment initiatives across the state.
The decision to amplify the incentive amount comes as a token of appreciation for the remarkable contributions made by approximately 59,509 community support staff members, encompassing roles such as MBK, CRP-CM, Bank Mitra, Prani Mitra, Krishi Mitra, and Jeevika Sahayika, all integral components of the Mission Shakti framework.
Effective October 2023, this augmentation will directly benefit all community support staff operating at the grassroots level within Gram Panchayats under the Mission Shakti ambit. The revised incentive structure is as follows:
- MBK, Bank Mitra, and Jeevika Sahayika will witness an increase from Rs 6,750 to Rs 10,750 per month.
- Krishi Mitra and Prani Mitra will now receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs 6,250, a substantial rise from the previous Rs 3,750.
- CRP-CM’s monthly incentive is elevated to Rs 6,100 from the earlier Rs 3,600.
Acknowledging the financial implications of this decision, the state government has earmarked an additional sum of 96.51 crores to accommodate the enhanced incentive structure. It’s noteworthy that the impetus for this increase stemmed from the Community Support Staff themselves, who took the opportunity during a visit by the 5T Chairman to voice their aspirations for a more substantial recognition of their efforts.
