JSP Celebrates Fitness Day On Naveen Jindal’s Birthday
Bhubaneswar: Jindal Steel & Power (JSP) celebrated the birthday of its Chairman, Shri Naveen Jindal, on March 9 by dedicating the day to fitness across its business locations. The events and activities held embraced the ethos of health and wellness. At various sites including Angul, Barbil, Kasia, and Tensa, JSP organized programs encouraging employees and the local community to prioritize health and fitness for success.
In Barbil, the pellet plant hosted a “Pellet Plant Stride” mini-marathon, with over 300 employees and family members participating enthusiastically. Meanwhile, JSP Foundation distributed spectacles to 87 individuals in villages surrounding Kasia Mines and provided meals to the residents of Kudurbeda hamlet in Kasia (Kha) village. Additionally, in Deojhar, more than 200 students were educated on the importance of exercise and sports, and two classrooms were inaugurated at Gobardhanpur Primary School to promote quality education.
In Angul, mini-marathons, yoga camps, and health camps were organized in villages and schools to celebrate Chairman Naveen Jindal’s birthday. The occasion was also celebrated with joy at Jindal Asha, Adruta Children Home, and Utkal Balashram, where activities were arranged for Divyang Children and underprivileged residents.
As part of welfare efforts, JSP Foundation provided amenities such as water coolers, fans, and indoor play materials to inmates of Angul Jail. In Bhubaneswar, a yoga training session and donation camp were held in collaboration with Kalinga Hospital, along with sweet distribution to over 200 children with special needs.
President Mr. Prashant Hota highlighted Mr. Naveen Jindal’s significant contributions to the country, including his leadership in industry-led inclusive prosperity in Eastern States, advancements in steel-making technology like coal gasification, and advocacy for clean energy. He also praised Mr. Jindal’s role as a parliamentarian, noting his efforts in moving private bills on food security and making the parliament smoke-free. Additionally, Mr. Jindal’s achievements as a polo player, shooting champion, and his legal battle for the daily flying of the national flag with dignity were recognized, making him a revered national figure.
