Jio Adds Highest New Subscribers In Odisha In October

Bhubaneswar: Maintaining its stronghold as the top-rated and leading digital service provider in the region, Reliance Jio marked a significant achievement by adding  the  highest number of new mobile subscribers in Odisha during October 2023, according to the latest telecom subscriber data unveiled by TRAI on Wednesday.

Notably, for the second consecutive month, Jio emerged as the sole service provider to witness an increase in mobile subscribers, while competitors such as Airtel, BSNL, and VI experienced a decline in their subscriber numbers, as indicated by the TRAI data.

The statistics reveal that Jio recorded an addition of over 1.88 lakh new mobile subscribers in Odisha in October 2023. Consequently, the total number of mobile subscribers on the Jio network in Odisha reached nearly 1.47 crores by October 31, 2023. In the same month, the overall telecom subscriber base in Odisha saw an increase of over 1.49 lakhs, bringing the total number of mobile subscribers in the state to 3.33 crores.

Affirming its dominance in the Odisha telecom market, Jio consistently leads in acquiring the highest number of new subscribers each month, accumulating over 7.35 lakh new mobile subscribers in the first 10 months of 2023.

On a national scale, Jio continued its momentum by adding over 31.59 lakh subscribers in October, elevating the total mobile subscriber base on the Jio Network to over 45.23 crores and reinforcing its position as the foremost digital service provider in the country.

It’s noteworthy that Reliance Jio holds a commanding presence in Odisha, boasting the highest subscriber market share of 44% and the industry’s highest revenue market share of 52%. As the premier digital service provider in Odisha, Jio is actively expanding its True 5G network and high-speed broadband service, JioFiber, throughout the state, solidifying its status as the first telecom operator to ensure a 5G network presence in all districts of Odisha.
