Hashish oil worth Rs 2 crore seized in Mumbai, two held

Mumbai: In a significant breakthrough against the illicit trade of hashish oil, the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of the Mumbai Crime Branch apprehended two individuals in the Bandra West area on Thursday. The seized hashish oil, valued at Rs 2 crore, was discovered in their possession. The information was relayed by the news agency ANI in a post on the X platform (formerly Twitter) today.

According to reports, the ANC Azad Maidan Unit was conducting patrols on KC Road in the Bandra West area when they came across two individuals exhibiting suspicious behavior. Acting promptly, they conducted a raid, leading to the apprehension of the suspects. Subsequently, 2 kilograms of hashish oil (cannabis oil) with a market value of Rs 2 crore was confiscated from their possession.

The arrested individuals, identified as Anand Kumar and Udhay Deivendran, both hail from Madurai, Tamil Nadu, according to the Mumbai Crime Branch.
