Congress declares 2nd list of Lok Sabha candidates for Odisha, Srikant Jena from Balasore

Bhubaneswar: The Congress party made a significant stride today by unveiling its second list of candidates slated to vie for seats in the imminent Lok Sabha elections in Odisha. This announcement has now formally put forth contenders for a substantial portion, encompassing 17 out of the 21 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state.

The freshly disclosed lineup introduces nine distinguished individuals poised to represent their respective constituencies. Among the notable figures are Mohan Hembram, earmarked for Keonjhar (ST), and former Union Minister Srikant Kumar Jena, who is set to contest from Balasore. Additionally, Anant Kumar Sethi has been nominated for Bhadrak (SC), Anchal Das for Jajpur (SC), Sashmita Behera for Dhenkanal, and Sidharth Swarup Das for Kendrapara.

The list further features Rabindra Kumar Sethi for Jagatsinghpur, Sucharita Mohanty for Puri, and Yasir Nawaz for Bhubaneswar, bringing a diverse array of candidates into the fold.

This strategic maneuver underscores the Congress party’s concerted effort to fortify its footing in Odisha and pave the way for substantive advancements in the forthcoming electoral contest.
