Malkangiri: Under the directive of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the Chairman of 5T and Nabin Odisha, Shri Kartik Pandian, embarked on a significant visit to Malkangiri district today, marking a pivotal step towards youth empowerment and academic excellence. His itinerary included participation in the Nua-O Scholarship Distribution Program at the Sports Complex in Malkangiri, where he engaged in insightful interactions with students hailing from across the district.

Shri Karthik Pandian revealed that a commendable total of 5,069 deserving students from 10 colleges within Malkangiri District would receive their well-deserved scholarships today. An impressive sum of Rs. 5.19 Crores has been earmarked for this purpose, signifying the government’s unwavering commitment to fostering educational advancement and financial inclusivity. As a gesture of tangible support, he personally distributed Nua-O Scholarship Sanction Orders to the deserving beneficiaries.

Furthermore, Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik, on the auspicious occasion of the legendary Shri Biju Pattnaik’s birthday, inaugurated the launch of the Nabin Odisha Magic Card web portal in Malkangiri District. Emphasizing the invaluable role of youth in nation-building, he underscored the state government’s steadfast resolve to nurture their potential and empower them to become agents of positive change in society. The introduction of the Nabin Odisha Magic Card heralds a new era of youth empowerment, poised to alleviate financial burdens, enhance personality development, and create pathways for career advancement and gainful employment.

Effective immediately, all undergraduate and postgraduate students across the state are eligible to register for the Nabin Odisha Magic Card through the designated web portal at www.magiccard.odisha.gov.in. Shri Kartik Pandian elucidated on the innovative features of the card, highlighting its function as a dynamic points-based smart card designed to catalyze academic, personality, and skill development among youth. Eligibility extends to students enrolled in both government-aided and private institutions affiliated with the SAMS portal.

Moreover, Shri Pandian echoed Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s impassioned call for youth to harbor ambitious dreams and strive relentlessly towards their realization. Assuring steadfast government support, he reiterated the commitment to facilitating a conducive environment wherein youth can flourish and achieve their aspirations.

Later in the day, Shri Kartik Pandian presided over the Nua-O Scholarship Distribution Programme at prestigious institutions such as Utkal University, Rama Devi Women’s University, and BJB Autonomous College in Bhubaneswar. Here, he announced the sanctioning of scholarships to 8,480 eligible students, amounting to a significant sum of Rs. 8.53 Crores. Encouraging students to seize the opportunity, he urged them to enroll through the Nabin Odisha Magic Card web portal, with distribution slated to commence from August 15th onwards, symbolizing a transformative stride towards a brighter future for Odisha’s youth.
