CM Naveen Inaugurates ‘Nua Odisha Global Summit On Growth And Employment’

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the two-day ‘NUA Odisha Global Summit on Growth and Employment’ in the city today. The summit aims to explore emerging trends in industries and skills, offering insights into future growth sectors and suggesting necessary skill training for the youth of the state to prepare them for the global job market. Industry representatives and various stakeholders attended the event.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik emphasized the importance of adapting swiftly to the rapidly changing technological landscape and its impact on our socio-economic structure. He underscored the significance of the inaugural summit as a platform to discern trends and chart a clear course for the future of the youth, stating, “Transformation is not an option but a necessity. Our youth must be equipped for the future.”

Highlighting the pivotal role of collaboration, the Chief Minister stressed the need for industry leaders and stakeholders to come together to strategize and shape the workforce’s destiny, fostering unprecedented prosperity in Odisha.

Minister for Skill Development and Technical Education Sri Priti Ranjan Ghadai remarked that the summit would aid youngsters in acquiring the necessary skills to stay ahead.Speaking at the event, 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman Shri Kartik Pandian lauded the Chief Minister’s transformative leadership, citing Odisha’s evolution from vulnerability to resilience in managing natural calamities.

Highlighting the pivotal role of collaboration, the Chief Minister stressed the need for industry leaders and stakeholders to come together to strategize and shape the workforce's destiny, fostering unprecedented prosperity in Odisha.

He commended the state’s progress in various sectors, including women’s empowerment and the upliftment of the marginalized.Under the Chief Minister’s visionary leadership, Pandian noted, Odisha aspires to excel and compete globally, ushering in the next phase of transformation. Odisha Skill Development Authority Chairperson Alaka Mishra and senior department officials were also present at the summit.
