CM Announces 4% DA Hike For Govt Employees And Pensioners

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today made a significant announcement, marking a 4% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (TI) for government employees and pensioners. With this move, the state government has decided to infuse an additional 4% dose of Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (TI) into the accounts of state government employees and pensioners, respectively, elevating the rate from 46% to 50%. 

This enhancement in benefits will be retroactively effective from the 1st of January, 2024. Notably, this measure is set to positively impact a substantial number of individuals, comprising 4.5 lakh state government employees and 3.5 lakh pensioners.
