BPNSI & TATA STEEL FERRO ALLOYS DIVISION JOINTLY CONDUCT SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Bhubaneswar: A one-day skill development program was conducted at the SCTE&VT campus by the Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute (BPNSI), in collaboration with Tata Steel’s Ferro Alloys Division, under the aegis of the Ministry of Steel, Government of India.

The event commenced with an inauguration by Shri B.S. Poonia, IAS, Managing Director of IDCO, who underscored the significance of such initiatives for India’s burgeoning economy. He commended the consistent efforts of BPNSI in organizing such programs. Welcoming the attendees, Shri Pritam Purkayastha, Director of BPNSI, reiterated the institute’s dedication to fostering excellence in the steel industry.

The workshop saw participation from various units of Tata Steel’s Ferro Alloys Division and featured experienced trainers including Er. Amitesh Sinha, a seasoned professional in the steel sector, Dr. Simanta Mohanty, a management expert, and Mr. A.K. Purohit, Director of BIS, Bhubaneswar. The session was led by Prof. Satyapriya Satapathy from BPNSI.
