BJD declares one more list(6th Phase) of candidates for Assembly
- Varsha Priyadarshini is surprised candidate for Barchana and Sana Mahakud for Champua.
Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today released one more list of Assembly.Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced the names of 9 MLA candidates.
Varsha Priyadarshini (a prominent actress in Odia film industry and also ex-wife of Member of Parliament from Kendrapara ,Anuvab Mohanty), who recently joined BJD, has been declared as the assembly candidate for Barchana in place of 6th time MLA and veteran leader Mr. Amar satpathy.
Biju Janata Dal also fields Congress turncoat Ganeswar Behera from Kendrapara assembly seat.
With this announcement, the BJD has finalized its candidates for 135 assembly seats in the state out of 147 assembly seats.
