Big B Amitabh Bachchan gifted Prateeksha to Shweta Nanda
Amitabh Bachchan, the legendary actor, has transferred ownership of his suburban Juhu bungalow, ‘Prateeksha’ to his daughter Shweta Nanda, as revealed by official documents. The valuation of this property, which is the megastar’s inaugural real estate venture in Mumbai and one of the three Bachchan family-owned bungalows in the locality, exceeds Rs 50.63 crore.
Based on information obtained from property registration data aggregator Zapkey.com, the transfer of the bungalow took place on November 9, with Bachchan choosing to gift the property to his daughter. The transaction also involved a stamp duty payment of Rs 50.65 lakh. Located within the Vitthalnagar Cooperative Housing Society, the expansive bungalow spans two plots, measuring 674 square metres and 890.47 square metres, with a combined valuation surpassing Rs 50.63 crore. For each of the two plots gifted, a registration fee of Rs 200 was paid.
A noteworthy detail is that the larger plot, covering 890.47 square metres, was jointly owned by Amitabh Bachchan and his wife, Jaya Bachchan, while the smaller plot belonged exclusively to Amitabh Bachchan. According to media reports , a response from Bachchan’s office was still pending.
