AM/NS India Community Health Dispensary Inaugurated At Sankari Village

Keonjhar: ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India), a prominent steel manufacturer, has inaugurated a community health dispensary as part of its flagship CSR initiative, Aarogya, in Sankari village, located in Keonjhar district. The primary objective of this health dispensary is to address the healthcare needs of Sankari village and its neighboring areas.

It is established with the aim of tackling prevalent health and nutrition challenges, enhancing overall well-being, and fostering a comprehensive approach to promoting good health. The dispensary is anticipated to serve around 500 villagers.

The inauguration ceremony on April 16, 2024, was attended by Smt Sulochana Pradhan, Ward Member of Sankari village, Shri Dharmendra Hirwa, TSF In charge at AM/NS India, Shri Madan Dash, Lead – CSR at AM/NS India, and members of the local community.

Staffed with dedicated paramedical professionals, including a doctor available twice a week, a pharmacist, and a nurse, the dispensary will provide free consultations and medicines. Utkal Needs, the project’s implementation partner, will oversee the management of the dispensary.

This initiative by AM/NS India marks a significant stride towards enhancing healthcare accessibility in the region and has been warmly received and appreciated by the villagers.
