SPS cultural extravaganza AMITY-2024 concludes
Bhubaneswar: The vibrant cultural extravaganza, “Amity 2024”, spanning two exhilarating days, drew to a close amidst fervor and jubilation at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPS), under the esteemed banner of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA), on Saturday.
The inaugural ceremony, graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Nilamadhab Dash, former state Drugs Controller, commenced on Friday. Dr. Dash, in his enlightening address, emphasized the burgeoning avenues awaiting pharmacists, particularly in the realms of Medical Device Monitoring and Pharmacovigilance. He ardently encouraged the students to intertwine their professional pursuits with a profound commitment to humanitarian causes and an avid engagement in literary endeavors.
The ceremonial torchbearer, Prof. Sudam Chandra Si, Dean of SPS, illuminated the event with his august presence, while the eloquent words of renowned litterateur Ms. Mamata Dash captivated the audience as she assumed the role of chief speaker.
Prof. Jyoti Ranjan Das, Dean of Students’ Welfare at SOA, graced the occasion as the esteemed guest of honor, lending further prestige to the event.
A significant highlight of the occasion was the unveiling of the institute’s annual compendium, “Aaron-2024”, symbolizing the culmination of academic excellence and creative expression. Eminent achievers in various competitions and contributors to the cultural mosaic were duly honored and celebrated.
Under the expert guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Laxmidhar Maharana, a stalwart within the institute, the proceedings unfolded seamlessly, each moment woven with threads of enthusiasm and camaraderie. Culminating on a crescendo, the concluding day witnessed a spectacular star-studded extravaganza, casting a spell of enchantment and leaving indelible memories etched in the hearts of all present.
