73rd IMA state conference concludes at Angul 

Angul: The 73rd Conference of the Odisha state unit of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has been concluded on Sunday at Angul. Dr. RV Ashokan, the national president of IMA, had officially inaugurated the two-day conference by lighting the ceremonial lamp. In his address Dr. Ashokan shed light on various challenges encountered by doctors nationwide and the implementation of advanced treatment methodologies in medical science and their advantages. Distinguished guests including Dr. Suresh Gutta, national vice president of IMA, Angul CDMO Dr. Shibanand Mohanty, IMA state president Dr. Prabhat Kumar Panda, and state secretary Dr. BK Das graced the event. The conference also saw the participation of esteemed medical professionals like Dr. Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, Dr. Vichand Charan Pradhan, Dr. Tarun Kumar Sahu, Dr. Biswajit Samal, Dr. Shyam Sundar Khandelwal, and Dr. Rajat Kumar Roy. Various topics related to medical advancements were deliberated upon during the conference, including radiation therapy, cancer diagnosis and treatment, eye surgery, spine and brain surgery, as well as the utilization of artificial intelligence in medical science. Over two hundred doctors and professors from across the state participated in the event, contributing to the enriching discussions. Dr. Soumya Kant Bishoy efficiently coordinated the proceedings of the conference, ensuring its smooth conduct. Additionally, the election of new office bearers for the state wing of IMA took place as part of the conference's agenda.
