5T Chairman VK Pandian visits Odia Varsity At Satyabadi
Bhubaneswar: Being directed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, VK Pandian, the Chairman of 5T and Nabin Odisha, visited Satyabadi to review the progress of the first phase of construction at Odia University. Spread across 8.6 acres, the first phase includes a learning facility for 200 students, separate hostels for male and female students (each with a capacity for 32 students), a scholar’s hostel for 16 scholars, a library, cafeteria, administrative block, and a well-designed kunda (water body).
During the inspection, Pandian carefully examined each block, focusing on the advancement of landscaping and internal road construction. Impressed by the architectural and construction progress, Pandian urged the authorities to ensure completion by January 15.
Odia University, a visionary initiative of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, is situated in close proximity to the renowned Vana Vidyalaya in Satyabadi. The university’s picturesque campus integrates Odia alphabets into its design, creating a beautiful and serene environment. Envisioned as a hub for research and development in the Odia language, the university’s inauguration is scheduled for the last week of January 2024, to be officiated by the Chief Minister himself, as conveyed by Pandian.
Notable attendees at the review included the Secretary of Higher Education, the Vice-Chancellor of Odia University, the Managing Director of OBCC, and other officials.
