33 Odisha Police personnel chosen for  Gallantry/Service medals on Republic Day

Bhubaneswar: Thirty-three police personnel from Odisha have been chosen for the prestigious Gallantry/Service medals on the occasion of Republic Day 2024.

Santosh Bala, who serves as the special secretary to the Home Department in Odisha, and Constable Sanjukta Pattnaik both will receive the esteemed President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM) in recognition of their exemplary service, coinciding with Republic Day 2024. Inspector General of Police, Satyabrata Bhoi will be decorated with Meritorious Services (MSM) Medal.

Further Jyoti Ranjan Mahapatra, a Civil Defence volunteer, will also be honoured with the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service. Among the Odisha Police personnel receiving the President’s Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM) are Sarada Prasanna Pradhan (Deputy SP, Odisha), Pradip Kumar Samal (DSP, Odisha), Prasanta Kumar Sahoo (DSP, Odisha), Rashmi Ranjan Mohapatra (Inspector, Odisha), Rajat Kerketta (Deputy Commandant, Odisha), Dilip Kumar Naik (Driver Havildar, Odisha), Bijay Kumar Pradha.  Arun Kumar Bhue (Sub-Inspector) ,Motiram Sahoo (Havildar), Prakash Majhi (Commando), Jadumani Bhue (Commando), Umesh Seth (Commando),Bubun Kumbhar (Commando), Sanjaya Kumar Guru (Commando),Biswajit Das (Commando), Laxman Nayak     (Commando), Satya Odi (Commando), Kana Beti (Constable),Ramakanta Sahu (Sub Inspector), Satyabadi Bhui (CT), Suraj Kumar Sahu (CT).
