Uday A Kaole New CMD Of Mahanadi Coal Fields Limited (MCL)

Sambalpur: Mr. Uday A Kaole has taken over the role of Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) at Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), the leading coal-producing subsidiary of Coal India Limited. His arrival at the MCL headquarters on Wednesday was marked by a warm welcome, featuring a ceremonial guard of honor presented by the Security Services.

Before assuming the CMD position at MCL, Mr. Kaole held the position of Director (Technical) at Bharat Coking Coal Limited in Dhanbad. With an impressive background, he brings 36 years of extensive technical and administrative expertise in the coal mining sector. His experience encompasses both challenging underground coal mining operations and the management of Opencast mines.

Mr. Kaole started his career with Coal India in 1987 as a Junior Engineering (Trainee) and has held various crucial roles in Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) and South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL).

A graduate in mining engineering from Nagpur University, Mr. Kaole holds a First Class Mine Manager competency certification. Additionally, he has earned degrees in Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Legum Baccalaureus (LLB) from Nagpur University.
