Tata Power led Odisha discoms give 10 lakh new connections
Bhubaneswar: Tata Power, India’s foremost integrated power company, has played a pivotal role in fostering the economic growth and advancement of Odisha, a state at the forefront of implementing transformative reforms in the power sector. The Odisha discoms, led by Tata Power in collaboration with the Odisha government, have been instrumental in this progress.
Since assuming control, the company has successfully energized 10,04,022 new connections in the state, driven by innovative process simplification measures implemented by these discoms. As a result of these initiatives, prospective customers now have the convenience of applying through various channels, including the website, phone calls, SMS, WhatsApp, email, and the customer care center.

The discoms, with a streamlined approach and minimal document requirements, have significantly reduced the complexities associated with acquiring new connections. The four-step procedure now involves registration, document submission, payment and verification, and meter installation.
