Bhubaneswar: After an intense 8-hour ordeal, rescuers successfully saved a newborn who had fallen into a 20 to 25-foot borewell in Rengali, Sambalpur. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed his joy over the safe rescue of the infant. He remarked, “it’s a matter of great relief. I wish a long life for the baby. May God bless her. Jai Jagannath”.
Commending the collaborative efforts of rescue teams, including ODRAF, Fire Services, district administration, police, and medical personnel, the Chief Minister lauded their synchronized actions. He stated, “I am pleased to witness the entire state machinery operating under the guiding principle that ‘Every life is precious.'”
Remaining closely engaged with the situation, the Chief Minister ensured the timely deployment of rescue equipment to the site through a special aircraft, directing the operation to ensure the baby’s safe retrieval.
