Naveen Patnaik Sets Aside Resignation of Some Partymen, Allowed them to Work for the Party
Bhubaneswar: In a gracious gesture, BJD President Shri. Naveen Patnaik has acceded to the plea of former members who had tendered their resignations from the party earlier. He has extended his approval for them to resume their roles within the party, retaining their previous responsibilities.
Among those who had previously resigned on the 8th of April, 2024, were Smt. Shanti Luha, serving as Chairperson of Birmaharajpur Block and Vice President of Biju Mahila Janata Dal, Sonepur; Shri. Narayan Luha, who held the positions of Vice Chairman of Birmaharajpur Block and President of Biju Yuva Janata Dal, Birmaharajpur; Shri. Dhirendra Narayan Panda, BJD District General Secretary, Sonepur; and Shri. Rusinath Mahakud, a Senior BJD Leader from Birmaharajpur, alongside 54 other supporters, comprising BJD office bearers and elected PRI members.
Having reconsidered their decision, these individuals, along with their supporters, have expressed their desire to retract their resignations and remain affiliated with the BJD. Responding positively to their appeal, BJD President Shri. Naveen Patnaik has granted them permission to resume their roles within the party, reaffirming their status as valued members. This announcement was conveyed by BJD General Secretary Sri Manas Ranjan Mangaraj in a press release issued today.
