Governor Raghubar Das Visits Angul

Angul: The Governor of Odisha, Raghubar Das, toured Angul district today. This is his first visit to the district after taking over the charge. He reached Nalco guest house initially and then moved to Ama Anganwadi centre in Turang village. He interacted with the kids, thanked the employees for their work, and advised them to discharge their duties with all heart and determination.
Thereafter, he discussed with the villagers and self-help group members of the village and told them to take advantage of the different welfare schemes of the union government. He hailed the unmatched role of women in the country in building a developed and self-reliant nation. He then advised the district administration to resolve the issues raised by the villagers.
Thereafter, he reached Baji Rout hostel in Angul town and offered floral tributes to the legendary freedom fighter, former chief minister of Odisha, and founder of the hostel, Nabakrushna Choudhury, at his statue installed inside the hostel campus. He urged the inmates of the hostel to work hard to attain their goal. He then visited a drinking water project located in Sikshyakpada in the town, studied its functioning, and inquired about its public utility.
Thereafter, he visited the smart park located in the town. He then visited the houses of Pradhanmantri Awas Yojna (PMY) beneficiaries and interacted with them. He also visited the Advanced Rehabilitation Center (ARC), situated in the town. During the above programs, ADM Pratap Pritimay, Uday Kumar Mohapatra, SP Angul Sudhansu Sekhar Mishra, and other senior officials of the district were present.
