Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena Visits Puri To Review Parikrama Project Work
Puri: The Chief Secretary of Odisha, Pradeep Jena, paid a visit today to Puri Srimandir, where he reviewed the works ahead of the inauguration of the Parikrama project for the temple.
With just a couple of days remaining until the grand opening of the Shrimandir Parikrama project, extensive preparations are in progress for the inauguration ceremony scheduled for January 17. Saints from various parts of the country are expected to participate in this significant event. Anticipating the influx of lakhs of devotees, the administration is giving due importance to various logistical aspects.
Chief Administrative Secretary Pradeep Jena announced that the Srisetu Swagat Toran will be accessible to the general public starting from January 12. Devotees will access the Parikrama route through Jagannath Ballabh parking, Sridand, with all parking areas featuring two lanes. Furthermore, 800 meters of Sridand road is slated to be completed before January 16.
To enhance the overall experience for devotees, provisions have been made for amenities such as toilets, shoe stands, circulation routes, and seating arrangements for both male and female attendees. The historic Parikrama project by the state government is being well-received and enjoyed by devotees.
