Chairman 5T VK Pandian Visits Puri District
Bhubaneswar: Upon the direction of Chief Minister Sri Naveen Patnaik, Chairman of 5T and Nabin Odisha, Shri VK Pandian visited Puri District to review the advancement of several developmental projects and interact with students and the general public.
He actively participated in the Nua-O Program, engaging with students from all colleges in Puri. During discussions, he highlighted the program’s significance in providing a platform for youth to showcase their talents and foster holistic personal development alongside academic pursuits. Encouraging students to pursue success with confidence, he underscored the completion of college transformation projects in the district by March.
Shri Pandian motivated students to aspire for greatness, citing the achievements of notable personalities from Puri district who emerged from government schools and colleges. He stressed the importance of diligence and determination in their journey towards success.
Reviewing the progress of key projects, Shri Pandian directed officials to adhere to timelines for the completion of the 650-bed Teaching Hospital in Puri, costing Rs. 309 Crores, and the Konark Heritage Area Development Project, budgeted at Rs. 172 Crores.
Additionally, he assessed the status of 10 Multipurpose Cyclone Shelters, sanctioned at a total cost of Rs. 20 Crores since his last visit in August 2023. Furthermore, he reviewed various temple development projects, including Loknath Temple, Puri (Rs. 35.42 Crores), Maa Mangala Temple, Kakatpur (Rs. 11.85 Crores), and others.
Shri Pandian also evaluated the progress of other district projects such as Mega PWS, major roads and bridges, and significant health infrastructure projects. Many of these initiatives were initiated following his previous visit, during which he addressed public grievances and solicited feedback.
Interacting with the public at Bhudan Field, Talabania in Puri, Shri Pandian received grievances on various issues, assuring swift resolutions.
