BJD releases final list of candidates for Assembly polls
Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has announced its final lineup of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha and Odisha Assembly elections. Among the announcements, three assembly seats have been confirmed, with a notable change in Deogarh’s candidacy. Sabitri Pradhan, Sukanta Kumar Nayak, and Sandhya Rani Das have been nominated to represent Khandapada, Nilgiri, and Korai respectively.
Meanwhile, Arundhati Devi has been replaced by Romancha Ranjan Biswal as the new candidate for Deogarh, which falls under the Sambalpur Lok Sabha constituency.
In Odisha, both Lok Sabha and Assembly elections are set to take place simultaneously across four phases: May 13, 20, 25, and June 1. The crucial process of vote counting is scheduled for June 4.
