Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute (BPNSI) Organized A One-Day Workshop At Balasore Alloys Ltd.
Bhubaneswar: The Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute (BPNSI), a division under the Ministry of Steel, Government of India, organized a one-day workshop at Balasore Alloys Ltd. focusing on Ferro Alloys Making, Sustainability, Energy Conservation in Ferro Alloys Process, and Adherence to Bureau of Indian Standards for Ferro Alloys. Mr. Pritam S. Purkayastha, the Director of the Institute, delivered significant insights into the Indian steel industry and green steel production during the welcome address via video conferencing.
Prof. Shantanu Mandal from IIT Bhubaneswar, representing BPNSI, shared essential information on ferro alloys and sustainability-related data with the attending plant engineers. Scientist Saurabh Mandal provided pertinent references regarding the Bureau of Indian Standards Code of Ferro Alloys.
Concluding the workshop, Mr. C. Nagaraju, President of the Plant, commended the Professional Pre-Programme Workshop organized by BPNSI. Engineers in attendance expressed their appreciation for the workshop’s relevance and significance. Among the attendees were Ms. Shaswoti Mohanty, Ms. Itishree Rout, and Mr. Bharat Prasad Sharma from BPNSI. Anjali Chowdhury, Human Resource Officer at Balasore Alloys Ltd., and Prof. Satyapriya Satapathy from Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute facilitated the workshop.
