VK Pandian Interacts With OUPP Trainees In Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: Chairman 5T and Nabin Odisha, Shri Kartik Pandian, interacted with 181 trainees as part of the Odisha Up-skilling & Placement Programme (OUPP) at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. This initiative aims to offer skill development in advanced information technologies along with 100% placement support, including free boarding for the entire six-month course duration.
The program follows a Recruit, Train, and Deploy (RTD) approach, targeting students with backgrounds in B.Tech, MCA, and M.Sc. from economically disadvantaged backgrounds across the state. Gender equality was ensured in the selection of both male and female students for the training.
Three state-of-the-art, modern IT labs equipped with advanced technologies were established for the training program. Tech Mahindra was chosen as the technical partner, with Tata Steel Foundation providing skilling support and CSR assistance.
Notably, all trainees were successfully placed at Tech Mahindra, securing an annual package of Rs. 4.25 LPA. Representatives from Tech Mahindra and Tata Steel Foundation commended the state government, particularly Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, for fostering such partnerships to empower youth and enhance employment opportunities.
Chairman of 5T and Nabin Odisha, Shri Kartik Pandian, expressed satisfaction with the program’s success, hailing it as a dream project under the 5T initiative to offer top-notch training and placement services to talented youth.
They lauded the inaugural batch’s exceptional performance, setting a precedent for future batches. Plans are underway to commence the next batch soon, with the government keen to expand and scale up the program to accommodate more trainees.
The trainees extended their gratitude to Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik and Chairman 5T Shri Kartik Pandian for the government’s innovative support, expressing immense joy at securing placements in a renowned company like Tech Mahindra.
