1294 individuals join Odisha government service
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik emphasized the paramount importance of the people’s will in his governance during an orientation programme for newly recruited government officials of the state. He underscored his government’s commitment to effecting transformative changes in the lives of citizens. Patnaik urged the new appointees to serve with sincerity and dedication, as 1294 individuals joined various departments of the state government, including 725 in School & Mass Education, 280 in Finance, and 129 in Rural Development. Additionally, 160 talented sports persons were welcomed into departments such as Steel & Mines, Revenue & Disaster Management, Higher Education, and Home Affairs, highlighting a significant achievement in government recruitment efforts.
The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to departments and recruitment agencies for enhancing efficiency in the recruitment process, particularly commending the inclusion of outstanding sports persons, which he believed would inspire budding talents in sports. Patnaik emphasized the significance of every task in serving Odisha’s populace, urging officials to uphold dignity in their service to the state’s 4.5 crore citizens. He underscored the effectiveness of the 5T Initiative in driving visible transformations across sectors and regions, positioning Odisha as a model for other states.
Finance Minister Bikram Keshari Arukh, School & Mass Education Minister Sudam Marndi, and Rural Development Minister Priti Ranjan Ghadai echoed the sentiment of a vibrant ecosystem of development and transformation under the Chief Minister’s leadership, urging new employees to contribute sincerely. Two appointees, Lipsa Mohanty and Ankoor Mazumdar, expressed their admiration for the Chief Minister’s leadership and their commitment to serving the government’s mission.
