Bhubaneswar: Reliance Jio is currently observing National Road Safety Month across its offices in Odisha, including the state office in Bhubaneswar and various field locations. Pradeep Rout, the Business Head of Jio Odisha, inaugurated the month-long celebrations and shared insights on road safety practices. The event, themed ‘BE A ROAD SAFETY HERO’, aims to raise awareness on road safety, promote Safe Drive Save Life, and reduce road incidents.
Throughout the month, safety awareness drives are being conducted along with Road Safety Pledge ceremonies and training sessions across Odisha. Jio offices are adorned with Road Safety Banners and posters. The program encompasses road shows, screenings of road safety films, poem/slogan writing competitions, drawing/poster making competitions, vehicle inspections, and the distribution of flowers, chocolates, and badges to safety heroes.
Special emphasis is placed on wearing helmets and seatbelts, conducting vehicle inspections for two-wheelers while driving, and providing tips on defensive driving and safe driving in foggy weather to team members. Jio employees are actively engaging with people on the roads, offering safety tips and affixing road safety badges. The National Road Safety Month celebrations will conclude on February 10, 2024.
