Reliance Foundation Celebrates ‘Kahani, Kala, Khusi’ With Students At Bahanaga Govt. High School In Balasore
Balasore: Reliance Foundation joyously marked the event titled “Kahani, Kala, Khushi” at Bahanaga Government High School in Odisha’s Balasore district today. The initiative encompassed various activities, such as storytelling, fostering artistic expression, and spreading happiness among the students. As part of this celebration, Reliance Foundation generously distributed appealing school bags and art supplies, including color boxes, crayons, and art brushes, along with assorted goodies, to all the students in attendance.
The event saw active engagement and support from key figures, including Mr. Jadunath Sial, the Headmaster of Bahanaga Govt. High School, members of the school managing committee, teachers, Reliance Foundation officials, and enthusiastic employee volunteers from various RIL Group companies, including Reliance Jio, Reliance Retail, and Jio-bp. Distinguished guests, such as Madhumita Das, a Mental Health & Psycho-social expert from UNICEF & OSDMA, and Soumya Ranjan Biswal, United Nations – India YuWaah Advocate 2022-24, also graced the occasion.
Later in the day, a dedicated session on Lightning Safety was conducted to educate the students about safety measures during lightning incidents. OSDMA Master Trainer Mr. Priya Ranjan Rout demonstrated the safety protocols and the lightning safety position, with the District Project Officer, Emergency Section Balasore, Mr. Jyotirmaya Biswal, in attendance.

Additionally, a special session on nature-based solutions for environmental conservation was led by United Nations-India YuWaah Advocate 2022–24. Soumya Ranjan Biswal. The students were enlightened about the mangrove ecosystem and the crucial role of mangrove conservation in maintaining a healthy and secure environment.
It is noteworthy that Reliance Foundation also extended its support to families severely affected by a tragic train accident in Balasore. Initiatives included the distribution of dry ration, emotional and psychological support through Sneha Srujan sessions for students, parents, and teachers. The Foundation’s intervention, specifically through the “Sneha Srujan” campaign, focused on addressing psychological challenges within the community, resulting in reduced stress levels and a significant increase in student attendance. Additionally, the Foundation provided writing boards to the school, contributing to the efficient functioning of newly constructed classrooms.
