15 districts in Odisha to witness dense fog in coming three days
Bhubaneswar: The state is poised to experience dense fog over the next two to three days, leading the IMD to issue a yellow warning for various districts. This cautionary advisory signals the potential occurrence of dense fog in specific regions during the upcoming days.
The winter cold in Odisha is slowly diminishing and according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there is no significant alteration expected in the minimum temperature for the next five days. Anticipated to persist 2 to 3 degrees Celsius above the usual range, the nighttime temperatures in numerous districts of Odisha are set to remain relatively mild.
Day 1 (Valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 03.01.2024): Yellow Warning: Dense fog is expected at one or two places in districts such as Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Kandhamal, Sonepur, Rayagada, and Koraput.
Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 03.01.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 04.01.2024): Yellow Warning: Anticipated dense fog in districts including Angul, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Khordha, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, and Koraput.
Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 04.01.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 05.01.2024): Yellow Warning: Dense fog likely in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Khordha, Puri, Angul, Boudh, Kandhamal, Dhenkanal, Rayagada, and Koraput.
