Angul: Marking the World AIDS Day-2023 observation, JSP Foundation, the social responsibility wing of Jindal Steel and Power (JSPL), in collaboration with various NGOs and the health administration of Angul district, has organized several awareness programmes on HIV/AIDS. In this event, the field executives of the JSP Foundation were actively involved in informing the public about the impact of HIV/AIDS, emphasizing self-protection from the epidemic, and educating people on how to contribute to their own safety.
As part of these programmes activists of JSP Foundation along with other volunteers made the employees, truck drivers, migrant workers, and SHG members wear red ribbon tags. They also empathetically interacted with HIV/AIDS affected people.
On this occasion, JSP Foundation was felicitated by the health administration of Angul for its active cooperation and efforts throughout the year in the National Aids Control Programme(NACP) for the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS.

It’s worth mentioning that JSP has signed the employer led model with the National Aids Control Society as an ethical partner to combat with the dreaded disease. As of date more than 7lakh people have been tested after being inducted in the HIV/AIDS counselling programme of the foundation and positive persons have been referred to government run ART centres for treatment.
